REFUND POLICY


Membership Refunds
Memberships are refundable if notification is received within one week of the transaction date (minus a $5 processing fee for each membership to cover our costs). Partial refunds of multi-year memberships will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Dinner Meeting
AGS is obligated by contract to pay for the number of attendees estimated by the Friday prior to the each month’s dinner meeting and confirmed on the Monday prior to the dinner meeting.
Fees for reserved dinners are owing to AGS. There is no refund for a no-show. Cancellations will be refunded subject to a $5 processing fee.

Field Trip Refunds
The following policy applies to refunds in the event that you have paid a deposit and/or paid for the trip in full and then must cancel. This applies to deadlines for trips coordinated and operated solely by AGS; trips in conjunction with other organizations may have differing refund policies.

  • Cancellations made after the specified field trip signup deadline are not refundable. Consideration will be given to cancellations for serious medical conditions.
  • Cancellations made before the specified field trip signup deadline for most field trips are fully refundable (minus a $5 processing fee to cover our costs), excepting trips that specifically state another refund policy pertaining to that trip.

Symposia
The following policy applies to refunds in the event that you have paid a deposit and/or paid for the symposia in full and then must cancel. This applies to deadlines for symposia coordinated and operated solely by AGS; those in conjunction with other organizations may have differing refund policies.
Cancellations made after the specified symposia deadline(s) are not refundable. Consideration will be given to cancellations for serious medical conditions.

Donations
Donations are non-refundable.

Publications
Fees related to download of online publications are not refundable. Paper book and map sales are generally not refundable; exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis
Refunds will be processed by AGS within 10 days of cancellation and will only be credited against the card used for the original payment. The user may need to resupply the original card information.
